Who we are

TradePal Africa turns the WhatsApp you already use into a bookkeeping, stock, and payment-collection tool for your shop. This policy explains what information we collect from you and your business when you use TradePal on WhatsApp, and how we use it.

Information we collect

  • Your WhatsApp phone number, used to identify your business's account.
  • Your business name, country, currency, and preferred language, set up during onboarding.
  • The sales, expenses, debts, and customer names you report to TradePal in chat — this is the data that powers your bookkeeping records.
  • Basic message metadata (timestamps, message IDs) needed to process your requests reliably.

How we use it

We use this information solely to provide TradePal's bookkeeping, stock tracking, payment-collection, and reminder features for your own business. We do not use your data to advertise to you, and we do not sell your data to third parties.

When we share information

We only share business data with third parties when it's necessary to deliver a feature you explicitly use — for example, with our payment processor (Flutterwave) when you generate a payment link or set up a customer catalog for collecting payments. We do not share your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data retention

We keep your business's records for as long as your account is active, so your bookkeeping history stays available to you. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us below.

Your choices

You can stop using TradePal at any time by simply no longer messaging our WhatsApp number. To request a copy of your data or permanent deletion of your account, contact us using the details below.
